Drawing inspiration from display cases of old, the Gabin cabinet also references Haussmannian architecture. With its elegant association of wood and metal and the delicate honeycomb-like canework, Gabin highlights a dainty motif that is as graphic as it is poetic.
Featuring stately geometric lines with a contemporary flair and gracefully perforated metal doors, Gabin plays on its contradictions and keeps things close to its chest, only letting you take a peek at the treasures it holds… In many regards, Gabin is a cabinet of curiosities.
Gabin is crafted in Portugal. Made of an oak veneer body and a metal structure in textured slate grey, Gabin stands out thanks to two metal doors (in light grey or textured slate grey) and two drawers, each adorned with a stylish knob with a brass finish. From head to toe, Gabin is class incarnate.
Gabin is an exclusive design by Mathieu Galard for Hartô.

The Gabin cabinet was designed for a non-humid interior space. To enjoy your furniture longer, apply linseed oil every two years. In case of light staining, quickly clean with a damp cloth.
In 2015, Mathieu Galard rose to the challenge and was named Artistic Director and Partner at Hartô, then a very young brand. In 2018, following his desire to rally like-minded designers, he accepted l’Ameublement Français’s offer and became co-president of the nascent “Editors Group” with Louise Breguet
